Who are Friends in Business?

Welcome to Friends in Business.  Update march 2011.

It has taken some time to build a large database in the Ipswich area.  This is now complete.  We have agreed with the Ipswich and Suffolk Club we can have the 4th Tuesday in the month.  The Club in the heart of the town and has free on-site parking for all.  We will meet at 18.00 and finish after a buffet at 20.00.

Chris can not make April and as one of use will sometimes have to miss the meeting, are there two other people who would like to join as organiser.  No pay but plenty of publicity is for anyone who takes an active part.

At our meeting you will have a chance to promote your business but we do not spend time at every meeting having a 60 second intro each.

The speakers will be selected to provide useful information to those in business, rather than to promote their own business. One business a month can pay £65 (the cost of the room hire) to sponsor a meeting and have up to 10 minutes to sell themselves.

Face to face networking is about building relationships and having time to speak to people regularly about your services.

See our a Welcome blog post for information on how the site works.

All of us in business network to Do more Business. We all want to get introductions to clients, contacts, we want information, knowledge about others and awareness of our business. We want to get something out of it.

But networking is more than that. We want to Create a Community - part of the Ipswich and Suffolk Business Community. Networkers support others - they establish growing relationships with people who they can get to know and assist, people who will also get to know and help them. They share information and ideas. They collaborate and support each other.

Our prime objective is to meet each other regularly, face to face. In this way we get to know each other and our businesses better, and hear about what we are looking for and who we can help. Check the Events section for our next meeting.
